Stardrop Privacy Policy

Effective 25 September 2026 ยท updated the same day to add gameplay analytics

This policy explains what information the game Stardrop (the "Game"), made by Honest Pixels ("we", "us"), collects, why, and what choices you have. If you have a question that this page doesn't answer, write to honestpixelsupport@gmail.com.

The short version

1. Information stored on your device

Your progress (levels, coins, skins, settings and your player name) is saved on your device. It stays there until you uninstall the Game or clear its data.

2. Information used for leaderboards and teams

To run leaderboards and teams, the Game signs in to Unity Gaming Services anonymously. This creates a random player ID that isn't linked to your name, email or Google account. Unity's servers store:

Other players can see your player name, scores and team. Unity also receives technical information needed to provide the service, such as your IP address and device type. See Unity's privacy policy.

Gameplay analytics

The Game uses Unity Analytics to understand how it's played, so we can fix difficult levels and improve the Game. It records things like when you start and finish a level or run, your score, which mode you play, rewarded ads you choose to watch, skins or themes you unlock, your league result and the team you pick. Unity also records sessions and basic device information (model, operating system, country). This is tied to the random player ID, not to your name, email or Google account. In the EU, UK and Switzerland, analytics only runs if you agree in the consent form, and it stops if you later say no under More > Ad & tracking choices.

In-app purchases

You can buy Stardrop Plus (no ads) and coin packs. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play; we never see your card or payment details. Google tells the Game which product you bought and gives it a signed receipt, which the Game checks on your phone before unlocking what you paid for. Unity's purchasing service also reports each purchase (the product, price and currency) to Unity Analytics under the same random player ID. See Google's privacy policy.

3. Advertising

The Game is free and paid for by ads: banners, full-screen ads between levels, and optional video ads you can watch for rewards. Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay, which chooses between these networks:

These partners may collect and process:

They use this to choose and show ads, cap how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and, where you allow it, show ads based on your interests. Each partner handles this data under its own privacy policy, linked above.

4. Your consent and choices

5. Children

Stardrop is a general-audience game and isn't directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the Game and you want their data removed, contact us and we'll delete it.

6. Legal bases (EU and UK)

We rely on your consent for personalised advertising, and on our legitimate interest in running and improving a free, ad-supported game for leaderboards, teams, non-personalised ads and fraud prevention.

7. Sharing and selling

We share information only with the service providers named above, and when the law requires it. We don't sell personal information for money. Under some US state laws, letting ad partners use device identifiers for personalised ads can count as "sharing" or "selling". Where those laws apply, you can opt out as described in section 4.

8. How long data is kept

Data on your device is kept until you delete it. Leaderboard and team data is kept while the Game is running, or until you delete it (see section 9). Ad partners keep data for the periods set out in their own policies.

9. Your rights and deleting your data

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal information, and to object to how it's used.

Deleting your data in the Game: open the More page, tap Delete my data and confirm. This deletes your player account on Unity Gaming Services, which removes your player name and scores from the leaderboards, asks Unity to erase your gameplay analytics, and resets all progress saved on your device. It happens straight away and can't be undone. Points you already added to a team's total stay in that team's total, but they're no longer linked to you. Results from leaderboard weeks that have already ended stay in Unity's archive; the Game doesn't show them, and the account they belonged to no longer exists.

If you've uninstalled the Game or can't use it, email honestpixelsupport@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Stardrop data" and your player name, and we'll delete what we can find within 30 days. Because accounts are anonymous, deleting in the Game is the most reliable way. Uninstalling the Game removes everything stored on your device, but not your leaderboard entries.

For data held by ad partners, use the choices in section 4 or contact the partner directly. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Security

Data sent between the Game and our service providers is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the data we handle to a minimum.

11. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. They use safeguards required by law, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll also tell you in the Game.
